Karla has an innate talent for all creative activities, especially writing, where she found her path for expression early on. At the age of 12 she already knew she wanted to be a journalist and change the world. However, neither one thing nor the other happened. She entered advertising at an early age, abandoning the dream of working in a newsroom. “You are a good writer”, she was told and continues to be told to this day. However, she also soon discovered that the world is designed by business and that a good text could be limited to the sale of the week. She wanted more. And soon had her wishes granted: she received the call to work in the Consumer Insights department, receiving international training at the most important advertising agency in the world at the time, Young & Rubicam. She also dedicated herself to write, planning, research, and new businesses at Ogilvy. It was a period of enchantment with advertising and with the magic wand of the millionaire budgets that transformed dreams into reality. It was possible to idealize and carry out projects exactly as planned with no budget limitations. And then, Karla wanted less. With her characteristic restlessness, she wanted less comfort for her ideas and more challenges. She decided to leave advertising and open her own business dedicated to a growing market: Content Production. Today she has over 25 years of experience of storytelling for the most important brands in the country, among them IBM, Xerox, Glaxo Smithklein, Shell, Souza Cruz, Accenture, Infoglobo, Vale, and Itaú. At Storia, she is involved in the entire creative process and, with special care, in Content Marketing. She studies agile methodologies and is personally dedicated to Cause Communication and socioenvironmental activism, an experience that has greatly contributed to her ESG storytelling work. Poetess, collagist and embroidery artisan, she cultivates tenderness that nurtures her creations for a world of brands and institutions that design communities and authentic bonds made to last.
